Report Maine Bird Sightings

Maine Audubon in Falmouth, Maine compiles the weekly Maine Bird Alert, often referred to as the RBA (for Rare Bird Alert).

This RBA is available here and via their Telephone Hotline (781-2330).

Reports from birders around the State of Maine are needed for this important birding report. Additionally, Rare Bird Sightings are sent to the Maine Birds Maillist daily to keep Maine birders informed about birds being reported around the State.

Use the form below to submit your bird sighting(s).

Please include directions to the sighting area. Sightings are often verified and directions are necessary. Your name and email are NOT published but you may be contacted if additional information is needed about your sighting(s).

Email Privacy

All birdalert sighting reports are forwarded to Maine Audubon for inclusion in the Maine Bird Alert.

Email addresses of the sighting reporter are needed in the event that a sighting is truly rare and verification of the bird identification is required.

No email address is sold or shared with any other group, company or entity and no email address is added to any maillist. No email address (or name) is published in the Bird Alert or in postings of reports sent to the Mainebirds maillist.
